Training if required
Walks with Ruskies is so much more than just a walk. Laura will take your dog on a variety of different routes, because experiencing new places is incredibly important for dogs. New sights, sounds, and smells provide valuable enrichment and help dogs truly thrive.
Walking in different environments also plays a huge role in training. Dogs that regularly experience new locations tend to be more stable and adaptable. Ever thought, “My dog walks perfectly here, but as soon as we go somewhere new they pull and misbehave?”
This is exactly why. Exposure builds confidence and better behaviour.
Solo Dog Walks
Solo walks are ideal for dogs who prefer their own space or who are working towards specific training goals. These walks are tailored to your dog’s needs, helping to build confidence, focus, and good walking habits without pressure from other dogs.
Group Dog Walks
This is where Ruskies is different. As a qualified trainer, Laura understands how many bad habits dogs can pick up when walked in large groups. Sadly, many owners come to us after their dog has had a negative experience in these settings, which can have long-lasting effects.
Laura is highly skilled at spotting even the smallest changes in body language — things that are often missed by others. While dogs don’t need lots of dog friends, we understand that social walks are important to many owners. That’s why group walks are kept small, with a maximum of three dogs, ensuring safety, calmness, and positive experiences for everyone.
Why Walks with Ruskies Cost More
Walks with Ruskies are not standard dog walks — they are structured, trainer-led walks designed to support your dog’s behaviour, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
Laura is a degree-qualified dog trainer, fully insured, DBS checked, and canine first aid trained. This means your dog is in knowledgeable, professional, and safe hands at all times.
Group sizes are kept deliberately small, with a maximum of three dogs, allowing close supervision and careful management. Large group walks often lead to dogs picking up unwanted behaviours or having negative experiences that can affect them long-term — something we work hard to prevent.
Routes are varied and chosen with purpose, providing mental enrichment, exposure to different environments, and real-life training opportunities. This helps dogs become calmer, more stable, and better behaved wherever they go.
You’re not just paying for a walk. You’re paying for:
Degree-level education in dog behaviour and training
Professional risk awareness and safety standards
Small, well-managed groups
Walks that actively support training and emotional wellbeing
Exceptionally high standard
If you’re looking for the cheapest option, Ruskies may not be the right fit.
If you’re looking for professional care, safety, and long-term behavioural benefits, you’re in the right place.
