Located in the beautiful village of South Cave, East Yorkshire, Residential Training with Ruskies is designed to give your dog focused, one-to-one training in a structured environment while staying in the care of a professional trainer. Whether you’re dealing with early foundation work, problem behaviours, or just want a strong head start, this is a highly personalised option tailored to your dog’s needs.

Overnight Residential
Our Overnight Residential Training gives your dog immersive, focused training in a structured environment. While staying with us, your dog learns essential skills like recall, calm walking, impulse control, and manners, helping to build lasting behaviour and strengthen the bond with you.
Daytime Only Residential Training
Our Daytime Residential Training lets your dog learn essential skills in a focused, structured environment while you’re at work or busy. Dogs work on recall, calm walking, impulse control, and manners, giving you a head start on lasting good behaviour.

  • Multiple walks per day (lead walking, sniff walks, Training walks, field walks and structured outings)

Initial Assesment

What is Residential Training?

Residential Training is where you dog will live in my home, in their own purpose built kennel and kennel area and sleep in my house on an evening. They will be free to come and go as they please in their kennel. Throughout the day your dog will receive many training sessions, plus they will be taken for some good fun walks. On a night, they will be relaxing inside our home. Where they will still be kept away from my dogs, but having the home comforts.

How much is the Day Residential Training and Over night Residential Training?

The price varies depending on your training goals.

Do i need to pay a deposit?

Yes. Ruskies Dog Training will be in touch to confirm dates and deposit. The full amount must be paid no later than 14days before your dogs stay.

How do I book overnight Residential Training?

Click the 'Book' button at the top of the page and select the Overnight Residential Training option. All visible dates are currently available for booking.

Please note: the booking system does not currently allow selection of multiple dates at once.

To book:

Select the first day of your preferred stay.

Click 'Select' — a form will appear with a few questions.

One of the questions will ask for your preferred date range.

After you submit the form, Ruskies Dog Training will be in touch within 24 hours to confirm your booking

How do I book Daytime Residential Training?

Click the 'Book' button at the top of the page and select the Daytime Board and Train option. All visible dates are currently available for booking.

To book:

Select the day of your preferred daytime Board and Train.

Click 'Select' — and fill out the form.

A deposit is required on booking. The remaining amount is to be be paid 7 days before your dogs stay.

Are there any dogs Ruskies Dog Training can not take for a Residential Training.

Ruskies Dog Training are unable to take on Large Breeds such as German Shepherds.

Ruskies Dog Training does not taken on dogs that have:

human or dog aggression.

What Training methods do you use?

Fun and ethical training methods are used to shape your dog's behaviour positively, using Force Free Training.

Does Ruskies Dog Training have qualifications?

Yes, Laura takes her academic and practical training very serious. She has completed many courses including a Level 5 in Dog Training and Behaviour. Laura is also currently working towards being a clinical behaviourist.

How do I book?

You can easily book a session through the website. Alternatively you can get in touch with us via phone, email, or social media.

What areas do you cover?

Ruskies Dog Training offers group classes in the Beverley, Ellerker and Brough areas. One-to-one sessions are available in South Cave and surrounding areas, with travel options available upon request.
